Compass CHC support SQ Bar & Restaurant’s 1st Annual Fundraiser in aid of Rare Disease UK and the Caroline Thorpe Ward at North Devon District Hospital

Compass CHC are delighted to support SQ Bar & Restaurant’s fundraising evening this Friday 3rd March as the Braunton based bar, owned by Lucy and Olly Seymour, attempt to raise vital funds for two charities close to their hearts.

The masquerade ball, the first fundraising event undertaken by SQ Bar & Restaurant, will donate every penny from the successful auction bids equally between the Caroline Thorpe Ward and Rare Disease UK. The event was inspired after owner Lucy was struck down by a debilitating mystery illness which temporarily robbed her of the ability to walk, talk, bath, or feed herself and she subsequently endured a long period of rehabilitation. Lucy is still hoping for a firm diagnosis and her mystery illness is the reason Rare Disease UK and the Caroline Thorpe Ward at NDDH have been chosen as the beneficiaries of the event.

Compass CHC Managing Director Tim Davies says “as a company we try to support local good causes as much as possible and when we heard about the two fantastic charities who will benefit from SQs fundraising ball we were very happy to help. Not only have we bought a table for the evening but we have also donated £260 to the overall total for two very worthwhile causes. I know Lucy and Olly well and truly admire the amount of hard work they have both put into this debut fundraiser. I hope it's the first of many to come.

Do not delay, contact us today. We specialise in securing funding from day 1 and assisting families with the process from the outset. Don’t wait until a negative decision has been made and it is then necessary to have to appeal the outcome. This can take many months and all the while the patient will be having to pay the cost of their care.
