I appointed Compass back in April 2017 when my uncle was being moved into a nursing home with multiple issues. The CCG assessed him in May in the nursing home as he was discharged on a 6 week funding agreement and despite his obvious health needs he was denied funding (apart from a health top up direct payment to the home from the NHS) - despite all efforts to appeal the CCG would not change their minds but last week after Compass had taken the case through to NHS England we were awarded 100% refund.
My uncle sadly passed away in December 2019 - the CCG has accepted the decision from NHS England and I will hopefully be reimbursed shortly.
I would not have continued with this had it not been for the tenacity of Compass.
